Elizabeth H. Dull

Professional Expertise: She has been the driving force behind the recent successful accreditation of the Home Furnishings & Interior Design program at High Point University. The University now boasts one of only five UDA (formerly FIDA) accredited college programs in the state of North Carolina.

Noteworthy facts: She is a member of many nonprofit organizations - lending her voice to the Interior Design Educators Council, Society of Architectural Historians, HPU's Home Furnishings and Design Club and High Point Showroom Association Board.

Richard Hargrove
Associate Professor of Marketing

Education: University of Mississippi - Ph.D., University of Southern Mississippi - M.B.A., Tulane University - B.A.

Professional Expertise: Consumer Behavior Research, Marketing Research. He has completed research projects with local Internet Service Provider and marketing research with various local companies. He co-authored, "Study of Home Furnishings Merchandising" with Dr. Richard Bennington and wrote, "Study of Furnishings Industry for the City of High Point."

Noteworthy facts: He enjoys marketing research, and delving into the new world of Ebay niche marketing. He is a certified Ebay instructor. He collects toy trains, finds and uses vintage photographic equipment, restores vintage electric ceiling fans and is an amateur machinist.

Cathy Hillenbrand-Nowicki

Professional Expertise: Commercial Design, Ergonomics, Design Sales and Retailing, Visual Presentation. She has been a guest lecturer at Forsyth Tech. on the topic of "Starting Your Own Design Business." She is the owner and operator of Master Plan Interior Design and Consulting in Clemmons.

Noteworthy facts: Her hobby is building new things and remodeling old buildings, including updating her 1978 home! Her favorite places to visit are Rome and Lowes Home Improvement Centers.

Other Interesting Facts: I grew up in North Carolina, and am truly a reflection of my upbringing. From my parent, I learned about the love of God, the joy of family time, and the peace that comes from the simple things in life. From my older brothers, I learned how to throw a football, how to hit a baseball and how to lose (and win) graciously in Monopoly.

Other interesting facts: Ancestors on my father's side of the family settled in the British Colony of North Carolina during the mid-18th century. One ancestor fought in the American Revolutionary War under Gen. Nathaniel Greene. I am conversant in French and hope to be fluent one day. I enthusiastically support study abroad programs, having participated in them in Austria, Canada, and France.
