The city of High Point is home to the largest Home Furnishings Market in the world, held twice a year. Over 75,000 attend each market and over 2,400 firms exhibit their products in over 160 showroom buildings comprising almost 10 million square feet of display space. Approximately 50% of the wood and 35% of the upholstered household furniture in the U.S. is sold by companies within easy driving distance of High Point.

Major in Home Furnishings
For almost 30 years the major in Home Furnishings has been successfully training students for marketing and management positions with home furnishings manufacturers, home furnishings suppliers, or furniture retailers. This major requires students to take general business, marketing, and communications courses, as well as industry-specific courses.
